About Sharon Rigano

I am a Townsville local, born and raised. I studied at James Cook University between 1998-2000 to achieve a Bachelor of Computing and have worked with the Queensland Government since completing my degree. Over the years I have worked with the State Government and spent some time with the Townsville City Council maintaining their website.  Over the last 9 years I have worked with the Queensland Police Service and for the last 4 years focused on designing and building Microsoft Sharepoint websites and applications.  Aside from this, I have been working with WordPress for over 2 years building WordPress websites.

Over recent years WordPress has become one of the most popular blogging frameworks and Content Management Systems (CMS). As technology has evolved, WordPress too has evolved to become a website framework that can be used by everyday people to create professional websites with functionality that previously cost thousands of dollars to build and implement by a professional.

I believe that education is important for success and that business owners should understand all aspects of their business, including the Internet and their website. Business owners tend to find this technology too complex and depend solely on others to provide them with quality support, but too often, they are taken advantage of and pay too much for these services. WordPress allows business owners to take control and manage their own website.

My goal is to provide an option for small business owners to take control by understanding their website and what it can do for their business and give them the confidence to build and manage their website. Whilst I realise that this is not an option for some, I also provide a level of support that exceeds all expectations to help businesses plan and build a successful online presence one step at at a time.
